Tertiary lymphoid structures

In this project, we aim to better understand ectopic lymphoid organs called Tertiary Lymphoid Structures (TLS) in various cancer types. We pursue the hypothesis that TLS contribute to anti-tumour immunity similarly to lymph nodes and thus the induction of TLS development in cancer may represent a novel immunotherapeutic approach. Our work focuses on exploring their functional role and the mechanisms of their development in cancer patients as well as in experimental animal models.
